INFORMATION AND REFERRAL CENTER - SENIOR
PROGRAM
Otter
Tail County Public Health employs a Coordinator
on Aging, who is a trained advocate providing
assistance to individuals over 60 years
of age in Otter Tail County who are in need
of services. The Coordinator is available
to make home visits, meets with clubs or
organizations and by telephone.

Provide information about available resources
and how to access them for:
Senior Rights
SCAMS/Fraud
Insurance Problem Resolution
Advance Health Care Directive (forms)
Community Resources available that may allow
people to remain in their home longer .

Skilled Home Nursing Care
Home Health Aide Services
Homemaker Services
Congregate Meals
Home Delivered Meals
Apartments Plus
Homes Plus
Transportation Program
Assisted Living

Assessment of older persons needs in Otter
Tail County

Interaction with public and private agencies
to insure coordination of services offered
for those over 60.

Advocate to introduce and promote changes
in stereotypes, legislation and agency policies
which impact negatively on the elderly.
5)
Provide assistance to Senior Citizens Clubs
and groups via informational programs, Senior
Center activities and support groups.
