Remote Electronic Alcohol Monitoring Grant:

Otter Tail County received a Remote Electronic Alcohol Monitoring Grant in the amount of $12,000.00 from the Minnesota Department of Corrections for FY2012. This grant will cover 50% of the cost of electronic home monitoring for qualifying adults charged with or convicted of a DWI offense. The balance of the costs of electronic monitoring will be paid by the adult receiving the service.

Adults who are ordered by the Court to abstain from the use of alcohol are determined to be eligible for the grant if they qualify financially for State Public Defender services. Adults are monitored daily for any alcohol use through the electronic monitoring program .
