Otter
Tail County Address Range (Road Segments) |
 This
project was created to assist our cities,
utilities and post offices in determining
address range/zipcode areas. The main features
of this application are:
 Otter
Tail County Road Ranges - created
by the Otter Tail County GIS Department for
rural addressing and by municipalities when
new development occurs. The Low/High numbers
are not meant to depict right or left sides
of a road but are all inclusive of the house
numbers assigned to that segment.
Zipcodes -
The County has no direct way to know when
a resident changes their postal delivery.
The zipcode included in the road database
has been assigned by:
 1)
The postal zip used in the mailing of the
tax statement on homesteded property
2) The analysis of all mailing addresses
on a segment of road (homesteaded property)
to ascertain mail delivery
3) Input from property owners
There are certain segments of Otter Tail
County roads where mail delivery is being
accomplished by two separate post offices.
Although this is seldom, we can only assign
one of those zipcodes to that segment. A
best attempt is made to code each segment
as accurate as the quality control at this
level can be done.
