Children's
Mental Health Services:
Case Management services are available to
families with children experiencing severe
emotional disturbances. This service helps
families identify and coordinate mental
health services for children and their families.
Services are provided in collaboration with
community resources i.e. schools, day treatment
facilities and mental health service providers.
Our
services are part of a continuum of children’s
mental health services – providing
education and prevention, early identification
and intervention, emergency services, outpatient
services, family community support, treatment
screening, case management, therapeutic
support of foster care, and professional
home-based family treatment services - to
families with children experiencing severe
emotional disturbance.
Three
social workers provide mental health case
management services to an average of 52
children. In 2003, staff conducted 22 intake
interviews. During the year, 7 children
received out-of-home placement care. Program
staff works closely with other agency staff
and two contracted case management practitioners
in providing services.
