Sealed proposals will be received until 1:00 P.M., March 16, 2011, by the Otter Tail County Auditor for the supply of Hot Mix Bituminous Material for West Otter Tail County to be used in the 2011 Construction Season.  Supplier must have a plant located in Western Otter Tail County.  Bids should be submitted to the Otter Tail County Auditor, Otter Tail County Government Services Center, 510 Fir Avenue West, Fergus Falls, MN 56537.

Furnish Hot Mix Bituminous Material picked up at Supplier’s plant.

Item I   - 3000   Tons of Mix             

This will be a firm price for the 2011 Construction Season.  Material to be furnished as called for by the Engineer.

The anticipated seasonal requirement of Hot Mix Bituminous materials for this area are listed in the proposal and shall be used for bidding purposes.  The actual contract quantities can be expected to vary with the need.

Proposals and specifications may be examined and/or secured at the Office of   the Otter Tail County Engineer, 505 South Court Street, Suite 1, Fergus Falls, Minnesota, 56537.

Bids will be opened and read publicly by the Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners or their designated representative immediately after the hour set for receiving bids in the County Board Room at the Otter Tail County Government Services Center, 500-600 Fir Avenue West, Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder’s bond made payable to the County Treasurer, Otter Tail County, for at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal.  Sealed bids shall be clearly marked “Seasonal Supply of Hot Mix Bituminous Material – West Otter Tail County”.

The County Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, portions, thereof, and to waive informalities.
