The County Auditor’s Office is also responsible for providing timely and accurate information and services to the general public, the Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners, various state and local agencies as well as County employees.

  • Annexations
  • Property tax administration
    • Local city and township special assessments
    • Tax levy and rate calculations for county taxing districts
    • Tax increment financing
    • Tax certificates and tax related reports for local and state agencies
    • Delinquent tax administration (collection & forfeitures)
  • Issuance of countywide licenses and permits including:
    • Tobacco licenses
    • Liquor licenses
    • Auctioneer licenses
    • Pawnbroker licenses
    • Precious metals dealer licenses
    • Transient merchant licenses
    • Fireworks permits
  • Resort sign applications
  • Serves on the County Board of Appeal and Equalization, County Extension Committee and County Board of Adjustment
