Notice of Comment Period


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN on the availability of a Mandatory Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the reconstruction of approximately 2.2 miles of County State Aid Highway (CSAH 9) located along the northwestern shore of Pelican Lake in Scambler Township, Otter Tail County. The overall goal of the reconstruction project is to improve traffic and pedestrian safety, correct geometric limitations, minimize property disruption, upgrade mobility for regional traffic to link local growth areas and regional centers, and minimize/mitigate environmental impacts. The EAW, which assess potential environmental impacts of the project, will be available to view electronically (by clicking this link) and during business hours at the following location:

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a 30-day public comment period for the EAW shall begin on October 17, 2016. The purpose of this notice is to provide citizens the opportunity to comment on the EAW. Individuals or representatives are encouraged to submit written comments prior to 4:00 p.m. on November 16, 2016.

Special Notice
The Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners has retained the services of SRF Consulting Group, Inc. (SRF), to complete a corridor study / environmental assessment worksheet (EAW) for segments of CSAH 9 and CSAH 20 on the west and north side of Pelican Lake.
