Basic Sliding Fee Child Care Assistance
Basic Sliding Fee Child Care provides a child care subsidy for low income working families. With prior approval, education may also be supported. Staff process applications, determine eligibility, and complete contracts for individuals who are eligible for child care funding.
Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) child care also provides subsidies to help public assistance recipients return to work and retain their jobs. Transition year child care provides 1 year of subsidy for public assistance recipients who have left the MFIP program due to increased earnings.
There are 70 families receiving Basic Sliding Fee Child Care Assistance. For current information regarding eligibility, please contact Lakes and Prairie Community Actions.
